Problem: Women entrepreneurs within the global African Diaspora are massive contributors to the global economy. However they face barriers that keep them from competing within the global industry on a large scale. Women across the diaspora are separated by physical space and by language barriers which keep them from connecting, networking and building together.

Challenge: How can OneUnited create a shared space for women entrepreneurs across the African Diaspora to connect and share resources?

Insight: Women entrepreneurs in the diaspora have no streamlined way to connect and network with each other. So many of the resources they need exist within this community but they currently have no way of connecting to it.

Solution: Through physical co-working spaces and an online platform, Origin connects the women of the Global African Diaspora. By fostering both physical and virtual spaces, Origin members can share experiences, pool resources and amplify their global impact. Physical co-working spaces are located throughout the world. The online platform features a marketplace featuring member goods and services as well as an app where members can connect and chat with each-other.
